Job Market Outlook

Insert the Job Market DataLink to this section

If you're in a group with access to Pathways, you can insert Job Market Data on as many pages as you like, inside or outside Omni CMS. To manage custom Occupation Groups, go to Add-Ons > Pathways.

On Omni CMS pages

  1. Open the editable region where you want to place the Job Market Data.
  2. In the toolbar, click Insert Pathways pathways button .
  3. Type to enter the title of your Job Market Data (optional).
  4. Select the Occupation Groups to show in the Job Market Data.
  5. Click Save.

You will see a Pathways placeholder on the page.

Drag the placeholder to move the Job Market Data anywhere in the editable region.

  1. Save the page to see a live preview of the Job Market Data.
  2. Publish the page to see the Job Market Data on your live site.

To Edit or Delete the Job Market Data from the page, click the placeholder.

On pages outside Omni CMS

Use an embed code to put your Job Market Data on any page in your Pathways-enabled domains.

  1. Go to Add-Ons > Pathways > Job Market Outlook >Embed Code.
  2. Type to enter the title of your Job Market Data (optional).
  3. Select the Occupation Groups to show in the Job Market Data.
  4. Click Copy Embed Code.

  5. Paste embed code onto any page in your enabled domains.

AppearanceLink to this section

Users with access can determine what data and styling visitors to your website will see. You can create multiple appearance profiles for each instance of the Pathways: Job Market Data.

  1. Go to Add-Ons > Pathways > Job Market Outlook > Appearance Profiles.
  2. Select options for each setting.
    • See your changes immediately in the live preview on this page.
  3. Click Save and Publish to apply your changes to all instances of the Job Market Data.
SettingOptions
Name

Enter a name that will display inside Omni CMS.

Title

Enter a title that will display in this instance of the Job Market Data.

Display: Select to determine whether this title displays in the Job Market Data.

Geographical Region
  • Default Region: Select the default region that the Job Market Data will use. Visitors can search for new regions and grant their web browser permission to provide their current location.
  • Lock to Default Region: Select whether visitors will see results from regions outside of your default.
Salary Range
  • Display: Select to determine whether this section displays in the Job Market Data.
  • Salary Percentile: Select the percentile of workers (for example, 50% of employees make this salary or less) with this salary.
    • Your website visitors can choose to see additional salary percentiles.
Overview
  • Display: Select to determine whether this section displays in the Job Market Data.
  • Currently Employed: Aggregated based on the supply of jobs for the selected region, based on all occupations that align to the selected career. 
  • Average Salary: Calculated based on combination of all relevant occupations tied to the career, using the 50th percentile of workers (50% of employees make this salary or less). 
  • Current Job Postings: The demand of jobs for the selected region, based on job board postings for occupations related to this offering.
Employment Trends
  • Display: Select to determine whether this section displays in the Job Market Data.
  • Past Growth: The historical growth or decline by year for a selected career, based on an aggregation of the supply of jobs for the selected region.
    • Years of Past Growth: Select the number of years to display (up to 3 years).
  • Projected Growth: Calculated based on a combination of government-published sources at the national, state, and regional levels and a combination of the short-, mid-, and long-term trend lines.
    • Years of Projected Growth: Select the number of years to display (up to 7 years).
Top Occupations by Income
  • Display: Select to determine whether this section displays in the Job Market Data.
  • Number of Top Occupations: Select the number of top occupations in the selected area, based on salary (up to 8 occupations).
  • Salary: Select to include the salary figure next to each occupation.
  • Career And Program Explorer URL: Provide the absolute URL of the Career and Program Explorer main landing page to direct your website visitor upon completing the search.
Call to Action

Allow visitors to contact the school for more information.

  • Display: Select to determine whether this section displays in the Job Market Data.
  • Message: Provide a short message (less than 120 characters).
  • Button Text: Provide text for the call to action button (less than 120 characters).
  • Button Link: Provide a link for the call to action button (less than 120 characters).
Appearance
  • Default Font: Select a font family to be used inside of the Job Market Data.
  • Primary Color: Select the color to be used in the Job Market Data.
  • Custom CSS Path: Customize the styles in your Job Market Outlook by entering the absolute URL to a CSS file. You can download a starter CSS file to get up and running quickly

Visitors to your site can click About this data in the Job Market Outlook instance for details on any data reported.
