Programs

The Programs page displays a list view of all the programs that are currently associated with Pathways. Any programs that have an associated occupation group can be displayed as an education option when prospects view the list of programs associated with a given occupation in the Pathways: Career and Program Explorer.

Program and occupation group associations made here will not appear in the course or certificate profile pages used by Pathways: Job Market Outlook, although associations made in the course or certificate profile pages for Pathways: Job Market Outlook will appear here.

To navigate to Program page

  1. Select Marketing from the first navigation tier.
  2. Navigate to the Pathways > Programs page from the second navigation tier.

To create a new Program

School administrators can also create their custom Programs.

  1. Click New. The Programs Description page will load. Configure the default program settings.
  2. Click Save to save the settings.

To Copy/Edit/Delete an exsisting Program

School administrators can edit, create a copy, or delete a Program Type.

  1. Navigate to the Programs page.
  2. Select the program you want to edit/copy/delete and click the ellipsis (...) on the extreme right column. Select EditCopy/ Delete.
  3. Update the Program description.
  4. Click Save to create/update the Program.

To search for a specific Program

School administrators can quickly find any Program by using the Filter Option. The Program page can be filtered by Code, Name, occupation Group, or by Type. Enter your search query in the Filter field.

  1. In the Filter field, type the search criteria.
  2. The page will display filtered results.
  3. Click x in the Filter field or delete the entered search criteria to reset the filter options and start a new search.

External Code

The ID assigned to the program from the originating catalog.

Name

The name assigned to the program.

Occupation Group

The occupation group assigned to the program.

Type

The type of program (Course/ Certificate)

Active

The Program status (Active/Inactive). Inactive programs will not appear in the CPE Programs tab.

Ellipsis (…)

Action menu. Click to copy, edit, or delete a program.

Create New ProgramLink to this section

School administrators can create custom Programs by clicking the New button in the Programs tab under the Marketing > Pathways > Programs page.

Create New Program

School administrators can configure the Programs information with the options available on the Marketing > Pathways > Programs page.

Each program has a program details page where school staff can associate an occupation group and appearance profile to this program and display Pathways: Job Market Outlook on that program landing page without further configuration. Click the Export CSV button to export the complete list of Programs to a CSV file.

Each program has a program details page where school staff can associate an occupation group and appearance profile to this program and display Pathways: Job Market Outlook on that program landing page without further configuration.

Note: Pathways: Job Market Outlook needs occupation groups set up explicitly in the course or certificate profile page to appear in the Programs list. Associations made in this list will not apply to Pathways: Job Market Outlook settings.

Description

Name

Enter the name of the program. This name will be displayed under the Name column on the Program Staff View page and be used to identify this program elsewhere.

Type

Enter the type of program.  

Note: If the program is associated with a course or certificate on the course profile or the certificate profile page, the type will be auto-populated as Course or Certificate.

Active

Select to determine if the program is actively in use. When active, this program will be displayed in the career search. Setting it to in-active will hide it from Public View only.

Page Link

Enter the page link for the program. The link will be used to route students and prospects interested in a program after viewing it in the Career and Program Explorer.

Programs without a URL won’t be visible in the Career and Program Explorer.

Note: If the program is associated with a course or certificate on the course profile or the certificate profile page, the page link will be auto-populated.

External Code

Enter the program's business code from the source catalog system.

Note: If the program is associated with a course or certificate on the course profile or the certificate profile page, the code will be auto-populated.

Occupation Group

Occupation Group

Select an occupation group to associate with the program. Occupation groups can be created under Marketing > Pathways > Occupation Groups.

Note: If the program is associated with an occupation group on the course or certificate profile page, this field will be auto-populated.

Appearance Profile

Appearance

Select an appearance profile to associate with the program. Appearance settings can be created under Marketing > Pathways >Job Market Outlook 

Note: If the program is associated with an Appearance on the course or certificate on the course profile or the certificate profile page, this field will be auto-populated.

Identification

Note: Identification fields are read-only and cannot be edited.

Source System

The source system where the program is created. When a new Program is created, this will default to Pathways.

Note: If the program is associated with an existing Destiny One course or certificate the source system will display Destiny One. See Programs Import.

Entity ID

This field will not be displayed when creating a new program. Once the program is created the system will assign a unique Entity ID to identify the program in the source system.

Save

Click Save to publish and apply the program across all instances of Job Market Outlook that belong to this program. A notification will be presented informing changes were saved successfully.

Reset

Click to Reset the settings before Save. A notification will be presented informing changes were reset.
