Templates and Layouts
As an administrator, there are two types of pages you can give your content editors: pages created from templates and pages created from layouts. Your site implementation likely came with templates and layouts but you can set additional options before your content editors log in to your site.
Template and Layout GroupsLink to this section
There may be sections within your Modern Campus CMS site where only certain types of pages should appear (for example, only News Articles should appear in the News section). Template and layout groups allow you to create a subgroup of your available templates so only specified options are available in different sections of your site.
- Navigate to Setup > Templates.
- Click Template Groups.
- Click +New.
- To group layouts, click the Layouts tab.
- In the Name field, enter a name for this group.
- Select the checkboxes associated with templates or layouts you'd like included in this group.
- Click Create.
Assign a group to a section
- Navigate to Content > Pages and find the section you'd like to associate with a template or layout group.
- ClickMore Actions .
- Click Edit > Access.
- In the Access Settings box, from the Template Group dropdown, select the appropriate group.
- Click Save.
