Notes Gadget

Write public and private notes on a page, file, or asset with the Notes Gadget. Public notes are visible to anyone who views the page, file, or asset, while private notes are only visible to you.

Location: Gadgets sidebar while viewing a page, file, or asset.

Available to: All user levels.

Write a note, as follows:

1. While viewing a page, file, or asset, clickShow Gadgets to open sidebar.
2. Click to expand Notes Gadget.
3. Type your note.
   
   • Click the "Private" tab to type a note that only you can see.
4. Click Save.

View a note, as follows:

1. While viewing a page, file, or asset, clickShow Gadgets to open sidebar.
2. Click to expand Notes Gadget.

Edit your own note, as follows:

1. While viewing a page, file, or asset, clickShow Gadgets to open sidebar.
2. Click to expand Notes Gadget.
3. Click the edit  icon for a note.
4. Type to edit note.
5. Click Save.

Delete your own note, as follows:

1. While viewing a page, file, or asset, clickShow Gadgets to open sidebar.
2. Click to expand Notes Gadget.
3. Click the delete  icon for a note.
4. ClickDelete.

Level 10 users can delete any user's notes. Notes cannot be restored after being deleted.

If a page, file, or asset is permanently deleted, the notes cannot be restored. If a page, file, or asset is recycled and restored, the notes are also restored.

If a user is deleted from Modern Campus CMS, their notes remain in the gadget labeled "Deleted User."
