Career Pathways Occupation Groups
Occupation Groups are lists of occupations, usually grouped by career or education classification, and are used in conjunction with the visitor's search location to determine what specific job market data to display with each program or certificate.
Pathways includes up to 1,600 default occupation groups that link CIP (Classification of Instructional Programs) codes to government-defined occupation codes; SOC (Standard Occupation Codes) in the US or NOC (National Occupation Codes) in Canada. This gives school administrators the option to quickly set up their programs or certificates based on the known CIP codes of their offerings. School administrators can also create their own Occupation Groups by adding up to 75 occupations to a new group to come up with job market data that best suits their unique offerings.
