You can edit an event on any calendar that you have access to. Levels 9 and 10 administrators can edit any event on any calendar.

  1. To edit an event go to Add-Ons > Calendar > All Events and click the filename.
  2. Change the event details.
  3. Click Save or Send Approval Request.
    • You can send external email to the event approver in addition to an internal Omni CMS message.

Publish the event to see your edits on the public events page.

Postpone or Cancel an eventLink to this section

If you have access to a calendar you can change the status of an event on your public events page.

  1. To change the status of an event go to Add-Ons > Calendar > All Events.
  2. Click the More Actions menu for the event.
  3. Click Status.
  4. Click Postpone or Cancel.

The status of the event will automatically update in Omni CMS and on your public events page.

To undo a cancel or postpone, click More Actions > Status > Reinstate.

If your event has already been made public, consider marking it as Canceled rather than deleting it from Omni CMS.

If you have access to a calendar, you can delete an event from Omni CMS, which will also remove it from the public events page. Past events remain on your public events page for two years unless deleted.

  1. Go to Add-Ons > Calendar > All Events.
  2. Click the More Actions menu for the event.
  3. Click File > Delete Event.

If your event is part of a series, choose to Delete Series or Delete Occurrence. The status of the event will automatically update on your public events page.

To see your events in a grid view go to Add-Ons > Calendar > Overview.

AttributesLink to this section

The location and organizer for a calendar event are called attributes. Attributes are not shared across sites.

If you have access, you can add event attributes in Add-Ons > Calendar > Attributes. Levels 9 and 10 administrators can create, edit, and delete attributes.

Level 10 administrators can configure attributes to show on a calendar and determine who can create new attributes.

Locations

If you have entered a Google Maps API key in Add-Ons > Calendar > Settings, select the checkbox to show a map on your event details.
